Introduction

Growing Together with Purpose

At GAR, we grow with purpose, cultivating long-term value for our business. From food and feed to industry and energy, we deliver sustainable, end-to-end solutions for our customers. These solutions support our suppliers and strengthen the communities we serve.

Our business is grounded in longstanding agricultural experience, meaning we can combine deep farming know-how with supply chain innovation to help meet rising global demand. We also adopt solutions that help us operate within planetary boundaries, adapt to climate instability, protect nature and biodiversity, and ensure smallholders, employees and communities can secure their livelihoods.

Chairman’s Statement

2025 was a strong year for the palm oil sector and for our business. Markets evolved, regulations shifted, and geopolitical uncertainty persisted, but our palm oil business held steady.

At GAR, we focus on growing with purpose, making decisions that strengthen our business, deepen trust, support our partners, and stand the test of time. That focus guided us throughout 2025.

2025 Highlights

Double Materiality Assessment and Stakeholder Engagement

Double Materiality

In 2024, GAR strengthened its approach to identifying and prioritising the impact of key environmental, social and governance issues on our business model and value chain. Reflecting a more complex and rapidly evolving global context, we shifted from our 2021 single-materiality lens to an integrated double materiality approach, considering both our impacts and the financial implications of external dependencies. Our 2024 Double Materiality Assessment was primarily informed by Materiality Assessment Implementation Guidance (EFRAG IG1) and aligns with the Global Reporting Initiative’s methodology. The outcomes of this assessment are not only used to inform the basis of our reporting but also directly contribute toward establishing our pillars and respective targets of Collective for Impact.

Stakeholder Engagement

Sustainable growth depends on strong, trust-based relationships across our value chain. We recognise that many of the challenges facing agriculture today, such as deforestation, climate change, and social inclusion, cannot be addressed by any single organisation. We engage a diverse range of stakeholders through transparent, inclusive, and ongoing dialogue. Our engagement spans local to global levels, reflecting the scale of our operations and the interconnected nature of these challenges.
