Our people are at the heart of our business and central to delivering long-term sustainable value. We are committed to aligning, developing, and empowering our workforce so they can perform effectively today and build the capabilities they need for the future. This commitment is underpinned by our culture as we continue to embed a Care-Do-Win mindset across the Organisation – encouraging ownership, collaboration, and purposeful action at every level.

In 2025, we aligned our HR teams to better support business priorities and improve organisational effectiveness. Our approach goes beyond building capability; it is focused on maximising the contribution of every individual and team across the business. This begins with attracting and placing the right people in the right roles, while also investing in their continued development, engagement, and retention.

We view engagement not only as an indicator of workforce sentiment, but also as an important source of insight to guide improvement. We use surveys and regular conversations to hear from our people, understand their needs, strengthen the employee experience, and find ways to improve.

We also continued to invest in learning and development across all levels of the organisation. From frontline employees to senior leaders, we are strengthening core skills, building leadership capability, and preparing our workforce for future challenges. This includes expanding training centres, rolling out leadership development programmes, and equipping employees with critical capabilities such as digital literacy and AI readiness to support resilience and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving environment.

At the same time, we remain deeply committed to employee welfare, health, and well-being. This is particularly important for our frontline workforce, where we aim to ensure that employees not only understand their roles and responsibilities, but also feel supported, safe, and valued in the work they do.

By continuing to invest in our people, we are building a workforce that is engaged, capable, and future-ready – supported by a culture that enables every individual to grow, contribute, and thrive. This remains fundamental to our ability to operate responsibly, strengthen communities, and create sustainable value over the long term.
