Dr Taha: Helping farmers across AMESA find the recipe for success

GoNutri is rapidly becoming a trusted animal feed partner for farmers in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia (AMESA). Meet some of the faces that make us who we are – and who are helping farmers grow productivity, prosperity and long-term sustainability.

At GoNutri we’re proud to help farmers grow for the future. We focus our support on farmers because every healthy animal and every healthy ecosystem begins with them. Our team listens carefully to the challenges farmers face, provides proven sustainable solutions and offers dependable delivery too.

Dr Taha

One of our team members is Dr Taha Nadeem. Dr Taha has a degree in Veterinary Sciences together with an MBA in Business Administration, majoring in livestock business development.

Since graduating in 2016, Dr Taha has built deep expertise in ruminant nutrition, particularly in dairy cattle. Initially focused on supporting farmers in Pakistan, Dr Taha is expanding our reach into AMESA as Regional Sales Manager for the region. His knowledge has been key in developing GoNutri’s presence across some of the world’s most challenging conditions and diverse markets – from the extreme heat of the Middle East to the varied conditions of South Asia and Africa.

Global experience, tailored to local conditions

It’s Dr Taha’s understanding of local farming conditions and ability to offer practical solutions that work in real-world situations that help set GoNutri apart. Whether it’s a small family dairy farm in Pakistan, or a large commercial operation in Saudi Arabia, Dr Taha brings the same passion for problem-solving.

“My role is to bridge the gap between what’s scientifically proven and what’s practically achievable on the ground,” he says. “Every region has its unique challenges – whether it’s heat stress in the Gulf, feed quality issues in Africa or cost pressures in South Asia. My hands-on experience in product management has allowed me to bring innovative ideas to life, aligning them with market demands and customer needs.”

GoNutri Energy provides farmers in this region with a highly concentrated energy source for ruminants. Packed with palmitic acid, which is naturally present in these animals’ milk and meat, the range can help GoNutri customers manage milk fat percentage, milk production, fertility, and energy in often demanding environments.

Case study: Pakistan

Dr Taha is especially proud of how the brand has grown since launching in this dynamic market. GoNutri achieved 20% market share in just its first year of operations in Pakistan, and continued this growth trajectory to reach 35% share in year two. He attributes this success to the unique qualities of the GoNutri product, coupled with the strong relationships GoNutri has built, especially with corporate dairy farms that can have as many as 15,000 animals.

Putting farmers’ needs first

Dr. Taha works closely with customers to understand their specific challenges and then match them with GoNutri solutions that deliver real results. “In many markets, there’s still a lot of misconception about feed additives and nutrition,” he continues. “Farmers often think all fats are the same, but the quality, fatty acid profile, and digestibility make a huge difference. For example, we were the first to introduce farmers in this region to the benefits of fat supplements containing a minimum of 98% palmitic acid which is already delivering improved milk production, better body condition and enhanced reproductive performance.”

But Dr Taha understands that farming conditions vary dramatically across his region. “In the Middle East, heat stress is a major challenge that severely impacts animal performance.” Dr Taha explains. “Animals eat less when they’re heat stressed, so every kilogram of feed needs to be more energy-dense. That’s where products like GoNutri Energy become critical – they provide concentrated energy without increasing feed bulk. Whereas in Africa, we’re often dealing with variable feed quality and availability, so consistency and reliability are what farmers value most.”

Like every GoNutri team member, Dr Taha is particularly focused on a farmer’s return on investment. “In the AMESA region, farmers are very cost-conscious. They need to see clear benefits – whether that’s increased milk yield, improved fat content or better animal health.

With GoNutri Energy, we’re seeing increases in milk production of 2-3 litres per cow per day in many farms, with improved milk fat content as well. That’s money in the farmer’s pocket.”

Another area where Taha’s expertise shines is in troubleshooting complex nutritional challenges. “I recently worked with a large dairy farm in Pakistan that was struggling with reproductive issues in their herd.” he recalls.

“After analysing their feeding programme and animal condition, we introduced GoNutri Energy to improve their energy balance during the critical transition period. Within a few weeks, we saw improvements in body condition score and conception rates started to improve. It’s these kinds of results that make my work really rewarding.”

Supporting farmers goes beyond solutions in the field, but it also depends on how reliably those solutions reach them.
